Iqalummiut rely on the use of cabins for enjoyment, country food harvesting, healing, recreation, family outings, and more. Cabin development on Municipal lands shall be permitted only upon obtaining a Cabin License, which is granted through a single application process. Cabin licenses will allow successful Iqalummiut applicants to enter into a licensing agreement with the City of Iqaluit. The licensing agreement will comprise of the following:

• Exclusive rights to a cabin plot on a renewable term
• A development permit to allow cabin-related improvements
